Intraoral snoring therapy: efficient and comfortable

The treatment of snoring and sleep apnea with intraoral devices has become a recognized alternative to ventilation mask therapy (nCPAP). Numerous scientific studies have proven the effectiveness of special lower jaw protrusion splints such as the TAP® splint, which at night increase the airway length in the throat and keep it open.

The TAP® splint: your entry into dental sleep medicine

The TAP® splint is a bimaxillary construction made of biocompatible and nickel-free materials. It is worn by the patient during the night and brings the lower jaw in a stable protruded position. During sleep, this prevents the tongue and soft tissue from falling back on the palate, leaving the respiratory tract free and allowing the patient to sleep restoratively. The stepless adjustment of the lower jaw protrusion with a lateral mobility of up to 7.5 mm as well as the graceful and unbreakable version with possible lip closure guarantee at the same time a high wearing comfort.

In the versions as TAP®-T or TAP®-T Reverse also patients with head, deep or cover bite can be treated.

Quality through training and certification

The TAP® rail is a licensed product and may only be manufactured by certified technicians. Our laboratory is fully trained and guarantees the high-quality processing of all TAP® rails with the manufacturer’s biocompatible, durable original materials. Talk to us, we are happy to manufacture the splint individually for your patients on the basis of impression and protrusion bite. In-situ adaptation and regular monitoring remain in your hands.

Interdisciplinary: it’s all about the network

Dental sleep medicine is a fast-growing field of dentistry. With just a few questions about this topic in your patient history, you can tell if your patient is suffering from snoring or sleep apnea.
The full diagnosis is made by a sleep specialist or in a sleep laboratory. For the treatment of mild to moderate apnea, intraoral snoring therapy is a proven remedy – and an alternative for many patients with a lack of nCPAP compliance.

In coordination with the sleep specialist and the dentist, our laboratory produces a TAP® splint for the patient, which is adapted in the dental practice and, if necessary, checked in the sleep laboratory.
